GDN Asset Publisher

Nvidia’s Graphics Delivery Network, GDN, is a high quality, low latency, cloud streaming delivery network that can distribute your configurator at scale. For more information click here. Once you have been awarded a title on GDN, you can use the GDN Asset Publisher extension to quickly get your asset collected, zipped and uploaded to GDN.

After you have enabled the extension, you will find it under. Tools -> Product Configurator -> Publish To GDN

  • Asset Path - The path to the stage. By default when the extension is loaded it uses the currently opened stage, but you can click the browse button to browse to any other stage. You can also set the input field by clicking the “Set From Current Stage”.

  • Temp Dir - Choose a folder location where to collect the asset to (Example: C:/Temp/MyAsset). Note: The Zip file will be created in the parent directory of this folder.

  • Application Id - The application id of your application on GDN. It can be found in the Package Management -> Packages section.

  • Token - Access token.

When you click on publish, the asset will be collected, renamed (if necessary) to the standard the application on GDN expects, zipped and uploaded. Once uploaded to GDN, the asset will be auto staged within a few minutes.

Note

You can only deploy to an existing GDN title. Only when your title has been awarded, will you be able to access the token link above.

Warning

Uploading will currently lock the main thread of USD Composer, do not terminate the app if a pop up appears after the application seems frozen for a while. Once the asset has been uploaded, the application will become responsive again.
